Maybelline Dream Cushion Foundation

Hello everybody!
New review here on the blog!

The internet went wild, last year, with the cushion trend... And I have to say it took me forever to get on board with it. But finally I did and I have to say, that for everyday wear, nothing beats cushion/creamy products... they give the most natural/no makeup look.

Has you guys might know, if you follow me on YouTube, I have been obsessed with the L'Oreal Cushion Foundation... but unfortunately I already used mine up. I debated whether or not to repurchase it and I'm still debating... but in the meantime I thought I would try a new release from Maybelline:

Maybelline Dream Cushion Foundation

This cushion line has 8 super saturated shades (or so it states on the Maybelline site... though I seem to have a shade that it's not available on their site... don't know if this shade is exclusive to Europe or not, but that's what I will be reviewing) that range from light to very dark!
I was happy to see that finally drugstore brands are contemplating a more open spectrum of colours.

They say this cushion foundation has good coverage and delivers a "luminous coverage for a fresh-faced perfection". I have to agree that this cushion has good coverage. As more coverage than the other cushions that I tried so far. But I have to say that the shade that I own (01 Natural Ivory) has less coverage than the others shades from the range.

Maybelline Dream Cushin Foundation in Ivory Natural - Swatch

Has you guys can see from the swatch on my hand (and bare in mind that my hand in DARKER than my face) the lightest shade is a little darker for my fair skin and a little to yellow... Unfortunately the lightest shade is not the same undertone as my skin (cool tone) and the second lightest shade from the range, which is cool toned is way to dark for me... That was unfortunate.
I still can make this one work for me... but the undertone really through me off.

If you want to se my in-depth review, first time impression and a demo on me applying this foundation to my face, just watch this video:

And if you're curious about the L'oreal Lumi Cushion (or Nude Magic Cushion in Europe, can't fandom why they change their names) you can also see my in-depth review, first time impression and a demo on that foundation in this video:
